Pum Pum
Feb 15, 2023One of the first movements we teach in Bones for Life® is Bouncing on Heels. The sound we verbalize during that movement is "pum, pum." I often describe it like a heartbeat and we pat ourselves gently over the heart while we raise our heels and then allow them to bounce back to the floor.
This process helps support the return of the blood from our extremities and nurtures our bones. I find it both grounding and nurturing.
It is also a way of connecting. We connect to ourselves and to those around us through the sound and gentle beat of our hearts.
As I bounce on heels tonight, I think of you and am grateful. I hope you are too.
